Food Security and Migration During Covid-19 New Evidences from Rural India Case Study by Fatma Mabrouk & Puja Pawar Migration as a growing phenomenon is affecting global economic, demographic, political, and social policies. The current universal tendencies reveal differents travesties that faced world populations, who migrate due to lack of food security, crises, and conflict. Is it possible that migration plays an important role in the risk-reduction strategy for households in developing countries? While migration has been a source of economic and cultural benefits, it is vital to explore its impacts on our societies, more particularly during the Covid-19 crisis. In this paper, we tried to find answers to these questions by examining the relationship between food security, migration, and other related factors during Covid-19 in India. Our results show that Gender, Household Size, Agriculture Production, Saving, Migration, and Regions are statistically significant. An additional unit in agriculture production makes 17% more likely household food secure. All the same, one additional member leaving the household for work is associated with 2% less likely to be food securely. Enhancing agricultural production and controlling rural migration are crucial to ensuring long-term food security. 14-April-2021 11-May-2021/

A Study to Ascertain the Reasons Behind Fewer Hotel Management Students Opting for Housekeeping as Career Choice by Chhavi Sahai A widespread problem that hotels are currently facing pertains to staffing shortages. Lensing our focus to the housekeeping department where turnover is often at resource-exhaustive rates, a common trend this research highlighted is that this line of work is not seen as desirable, only attracting those students who desperately need a job and who are not motivated to stay beyond the base need for a weekly stipend. Some staff members end up staying from lengthy breadths of time and become cherished members of a property's team, while others view the job as merely temporary until something better comes along with an exit soon after being put on the job. Due to lackluster and no clear path of upward trajectory, it proves very difficult to entice those youthful candidates looking for employment that promises fruitful returns over the long run. Seemingly Housekeeping strikes to candidates as a job and not a career. This paper is an attempt to dig deeper on what are the reasons for a student’s not opting for housekeeping and what could transform their perception of housekeeping from job to a fulfilling career and attract younger and more service-focused associates to thereby increase employee retention and simultaneously reduce the sunk costs of training. 19-April-2021 16-May-2021/

Determining the Quality of Hotel Employees by Chitra Sharma The employees of any organization are an essential resource because they help execute the task and actively shape and create the institution's reputation. Similarly, in the hotel industry, they are perhaps the most important resource. Therefore, we need to understand the variables that shape and enhance the quality of a hotel employee. This paper will look at the work and non-work-related variables that affect the quality of an employee. Along with this, we have also conducted a sample survey to understand the consensus about those variables and their interplay with the quality of the employees. Communication skills and responsiveness came up as the supreme skill for a good hotel employee during the survey. 18-April-2021 28-May-2021/

Data from 115 respondents was collected by the census method. The analytical tool used was path analysis with the help of the SEM method (structural equation modeling) using Amos. The results indicated that self-efficacy and income levels positively and significantly influenced job satisfaction. Self-efficacy positively and significantly influenced employee performance, while income level did not influence employee performance, and job satisfaction affected employee performance. The mediation effect analysis revealed that job satisfaction partially mediated the effect of self-efficacy on employee performance and job satisfaction cannot mediate income levels on employee performance, because it cannot meet the terms or conditions of mediation. 10-May-2021 2-June-2021/

Role of Academic Librarian in Developing Reading Habits among Students by Roopa Gokhale Shahade People can form the habit of reading books in libraries. Any country that wants its people to be informed, articulate, effective, and modern must prioritise the expansion of its libraries. In addition to promoting reading, a library also stimulates people's thirst for knowledge. Excellent libraries promote reading and aid in the development of reading habits. Reading enhances cognitive function and memory. Librarians are essential in fostering a culture of reading. They act as a catalyst, inspiring and motivating students to read by providing ample and appropriate reading material, library orientation programmes, a vibrant, welcoming reading environment, and cutting-edge library services that grab their attention and motivate them to develop a good reading habit. Academic librarians can encourage reading among their clients in a number of ways, such as displays, instruction, programming, collaboration with other libraries, enlarging perceptions of genre, and developing their readers' advisory skills. 17-April-2021 30-May-2021/
